HYL-102 hall flowmeter is engineered for precision measurements using the standard funnel method to determine flow rate, flow quality, and bulk density. Designed and produced according to the national standards of ISO 4490:2018, GB 1482-84 and GB 1479-84.
The sample powder can freely flow through the device which has a standard 2.5mm funnel. The fluidity of the metal powder is indicated by the time required for the specific weight of powder sample that flows through the aperture. Collecting the powder in a calibrated density cup, allowing for calculation of the mass per unit volume, which is the bulk density.
The funnel aperture is 2.5mm (Hall Funnel) to test the fluidity of the powder. Additional funnel (Carney Funnel) with 5.0mm aperture is included for bulk density tests. If he powder doesn't flow through the Hall Funnel nor through the Carney Funnel, a Scott Volumeter HYL101 is required to complete further tests.
